Abstract: | The tenement is held by Arunta Uranium Pty Ltd. a wholly-owned subsidiary of Callabonna Uranium Ltd (CUL). CUL's targets are calcrete-hosted and unconformity-type uranium deposits. Work carried out in year 1 of the tenements has been confined to an assessment of previous exploration and of regional geophysical datasets. Plans for a field program were put on hold due to the adverse state of the market and the postponement of the planned float of CUL. Reprocessing of Rio Tinto Exploration airborne radiometric data has confirmed a greater than 4km-long uranium channel anomaly associated with a prominent structure transecting the Mount Doreen granite. This will be a prime focus of field work in year 2. |
