Finniss Range Project, EL 25521 Kangaroo Flats North, Annual report for the period 10 September 2007 to 9 September 2008

Abstract

Work completed on EL 25521 consisted of a brief literature review and data compilation in preparation for rock chip sampling and reconnaissance mapping during the 2009 field season. The Liana's and Liana's West prospects (located approximately 2.5 km south of the Fog Bay Rd crossing of the River Charlotte) are located within EL 25521. Both prospects were costeaned by Greenex in the 1980's with disappointing results. However, one rock chip sample from Liana's West taken by Frater (2005) returned encouraging results of 1450 ppm Sn and 100 ppm Ta. In addition, three samples from Liana's returned an average of 257 ppm Sn and 120 ppm Ta. The prospects will be rock chip sampled and mapped in detail during the 2009 field season.
