Abstract: Exploration Licence (EL) 24250 'Coronet Hill' is located on the south western boundary of the 1:250,000 Sheet of Mount Evelyn SD5305 in the Northern Territory. EL 24250 was granted on 18 November 2004 for a period of six years. The EL on grant, covered an area of 31 graticular sub blocks and approximately 93.90 square kilometres. EL 24250 is situated within the Pine Creek Geosyncline, a tight to isoclinally folded sequentce of mainly politic and Lower Proterozoic with interlayed tuff units. All rocks in the area have been metamorphosed to low, and in some places medium grade, metamorphic assemblages. During the third year of the licence, no drilling was carried out of the area which has been relinquished. Rock chip sampling was carried out which yielded no promising results and as a result these blocks were dropped from the licence area. No further prospectivety was recognised on this area.
