Abstract: AP 2266 - December 1969; Explorer 69 Hole 1 was abandoned at a depth of 494 feet due to severe steepening. Hole 2 from the same collar but at a shallower declination, reached a depth of 150 feet at the end of the month. The grid at the Explorer 74 prospect was extended eastward into this AP. AP 2267 - December 1969; Plane table mapping of the Queen of Sheba prospect continued throughout the month apart from holiday breaks and minor delays due to rain. This project should be completed in about 3 weeks. A series of 16 auger holes were drilled for geochemical sampling in the vacinity of one of the magnetic anomalies. Geochemical sampling in the Explorer 1 area was completed and samples have been despatched for geochemical determinations. A total of 90 holes for an aggregate footage of 1988 feet were drilled in the programme. The diamond drill hole at Explorer 1 Anomaly 3 progressed very little during the month due to caving ground and leave taken by the contract drillers.
