| Abstract: | Location: The Illamurta project comprises Exploration License 25637. The tenement is located approximately 230km south-west of Alice Springs, in the Amadeus Basin of the Northern Territory. Geology: The tenement is located on the southern margin of the Amadeus Basin, a large intracratonic basin occupying much of the southern part of the Northern Territory. Work done: Exploration work during the reporting period comprised data compilation & evaluation, field assessment and rock-chip sampling. Results: The reconnaissance has identified that the uranium anomalies from the airborne radiometric survey are produced by sporadic ferricrete caps associated with a Tertiary paleodrainage system. Conclusions: The tenement is to be relinquished. |
