Abstract: This is the final relinquishment report for EL 9607. As such, it details all exploration activity conducted over the licence for the period 20th October 2004 to 24th December 2007. The tenement is located approximately 85 km east northeast of The Granites Mine. In December 2007 field reconnaissance was conducted over the TAN025 target area, located 35km NE of the Cashel prospect within tenement EL9607. The area was highlighted as interesting due to the presence of E-W structures incongruous to the major NW lithologically bound deep crustal faults. A vast proportion of the selected area was noted to consist of outcropping and subcropping granite. Of note was the presence of major E-W outcropping buck quartz veins and intensely sheared micaceous schists located in the target's central region.
These micaceous rocks also contain boudinaged quartz eyes and veins throughout, which are dominantly sulphide vugg rich, though some primary sulphides are still visible.
Two rock chips, over selected outcrops were collected. Nil results were returned.
