Title: | Sixth annual report for EL 22918 Arltunga, period ended 25 April 2008 |
Title Holder / Company: | Rum Jungle Uranium |
Report id: | CR2008-0172 |
Tenure: | EL22918 |
Year: | 2008 |
Author: | Doyle, N |
Abstract: | During the sixth year of tenure fieldwork was limited to ground radiometric prospecting with a scintillometer and drilling of 32 RAB drill holes for 439m. No radiometric anomalies or uranium mineralisation was intersected in drilling although traditional owners have no yet given access to the more prospective areas around Paddy's Jump Up uranium prospect in the eastern half of the tenement. In this area, low grade uranium mineralisation exists in weathered chloritic basement schists under shallow alluvial cover in the northern half of the prospect area whilst Esso Exploration intersected uranium mineralisation in lignite over 3m intervals (100-450 ppm U) during the early 1970's in the southern part of the prospect. [the report refers to air core - this was actually RAB] |
