Title: 2008 Annual report EL 24694 Murphy project
Title Holder / Company: Bondi Mining
Report id: CR2008-0160
Tenure: EL24694
Year: 2008
Author: Esser, D
Abstract: Work during this period consisted of a due diligence of the project by Mining Associates, an airborne magnetic and radiometric survey at 100m line spacing, reconnaissance and 200 x 800m spaced alpha track sampling on the UC18 target. The aim of this work was to; (i) map the lower Proterozoic and mid Proterozoic rocks, under the Phanerozoic cover; (ii) identify possible uranium source rocks, (iii) locate regional/local structures that display alteration indicating the passage of oxidised fluids. Results of this work include an alpha track anomaly on UC18 and a better understanding of the structure and stratigraphy, which will help target mineralization in the EL. Future work will include a detailed interpretation of the airborne magnetics and radiometrics, an interpretation of the Buffalo Gold HOISTEM survey, drill testing of the alpha track anomaly on UC 18 and ground testing of the uranium anomaly 'Benmara AU1'.
