Abstract: | RJU has acquired EL 24939, which covers an area of 837 square kilometres approximately 50 kilometres east to south east of Darwin. The Woolner Dome Project is located in the northern part and is accessed by the Arnhem Highway and station tracks. The project lies close to the coast and is generally inundated during the wet season. It is also covered by unconsolidated marine sediments. EL 24939 was granted for 6 years commencing 11 July 2006. A detailed low level radiometric and aeromagnetic survey was completed during the first year by UTS geophysical contractors. The data was subsequently processed and interpreted by Southern Geoscience Geophysical Consultants. These details are attached in digital format as separate attached files. D.Muller spent two weeks forming a data base from earlier reports held at the Mines Department library in Darwin and aided by several visits to the core library in Winnellie. |
