Abstract: | This report is part of an larger study of the uranium prospectivity of the South Alligator Valley Uranium Field by Geomin Exploration for the United Uranium NL JV. It appears to have been an untenemented academic study based on compilation of BMR and company work. Proposals are made for additional work at some known prospects and anomalies and other areas are recommended for initial exploration. It deals specifically with the Rockhole Mine, now under title as MCN 347 and MCN 349, but these titles postdate the report. Detailed study of Rockhole shows that cross-folding played a major role in localising uranium mineralisation. Limits of the mine's potential are discussed. |
