Abstract

The aim of the programme in 1973 was to define more accurately, the geological setting of the area, the structure and the potential for uranium mineralisation. A photogeological study was undertaken and a base map prepared. A radiometric and magnetic airborne survey was carried out by McPhar Geophysics Pty Ltd. A selection of airborne anomalies was made and these were checked in the field. All proved to be due to the contrast between different rock types with different backgrounds. A geological reconnaissance was made over the very small amount of outcrop, mainly for verification of the geological map.
