Interpretation of magnetics data

A reconnaissance field visit to the region The area is entirely covered by basalt of the Cambrian Antrim Plateau Volcanics. The basalt has a magnetics signature which makes identification of kimberlites very difficult in the geophysical data. The lack of indicator minerals and microdiamonds within the area of the tenement is a negative.
