| Abstract: | EL 10322 covers 6.7 square kilometres near (but excluding) the old Great Northern Mine at Pine Creek. At Carls Hill two soil samples were taken, the best of which assayed 0.59 ppm Au. A trench was dug at Backhoe Hill. Samples from this were all less than 0.11 ppm gold. A reef containing free visible gold was discovered at the northern end of Backhoe Hill using a metal detector. A trench across old Chinese diggings was disappointing. |
