Abstract: | Sites of anomalous Pb-Zn geochemistry outlined in 1991 were followed up in the 1992 field season. 651 samples were collected. This work has shown the Limmen Sandstone to be lead rich (maximum lead assay 3.13% Pb) and the Mountain Valley Limestone to elevated in zinc (maximum zinc assay 653000m Zn). It is thought that the mineralisation is due to circulating hydrothermal fluids (probably due to the predominance of lead). |
