Abstract: | Repeat gravel samples from the central portion of the licence returned non-kimberlitic chromite. A statistical analysis of the AGSO geochemical data located some Cu-Pb-Zn anomalous stream catchments. These were followed up by a -80# stream sediment- rock chip programme 21 stream and 5 rock chip samples were collected. The copper anomalies were not upgraded for confirmed by this sampling. Elevated zinc values (max 410ppm) were obtained. The elevated zinc values are associated with high iron values and so they are attributed to iron scavenging. Interpretation of airborne radiometrics outlined some 18 anomalies. Selected anomalies were followed up by rock chip and stream sediment sampling. No significant values were obtained. |
