Abstract: This report presents a summary of all work undertaken during the term of these licences and presents all the basic data acquired in the southern area of Browns Range Dome, uranium was the target. Work to date has shown significant correlations between this area and the East Alligator river Uranium Field. Evidence of large scale metasomatic fluids have been located. The lack of uranium mineralizaiton is believed to be due probably to a lack of uranium in the wall rocks to be mobilised. Those anomalies located are all associated with ENE trending shears in arkose. The anomalism being attributed to uranium scavenging by iron during the weathering process. In area 32, radiometric anomalism is associated with clay fixing uranium from ground waters draining the Browns Range Dome. Results of gold exploration in Area 31 were disappointing: geochemical surveys in this area located 2 copper (max 240ppm) and 2 small zinc anomalies.
