Abstract: | Reconnaissance stream sediment sampling within the tenements was done along every 3-4km of drainage length. A total of 330 samples were taken. Abundant chromites were recovered and attributed to the Antrim Plateau Volcanics, with some chromites considered to be of Kimberlitic origin. The latter areas (4) were sampled in more detail and all chromites recovered are of a basaltic origin. The NTGS Limbunya digital aeromagnetic data was purchased and assessed. The assessment suggested eight anomalies which were ground checked and were topographical features, hence the anomalies were downgraded. |
