Abstract: | 20 Stream sediment samples were collected in 1989 with a maximum result of 26.9ppb Au in the SW corner of the licence. In the SW of the licence examination of aeromagnetic data revealed a discrete anomaly-ground follow up suggests that the anomaly is due to stratigraphy. Follow up of the stream sediment anomalies in the SE of the licence by reconnaissance mapping and grab sampling revealed only limited quartz veining. Geochemistry failed to return anything of interest, save one sample with anomalous base metal (559ppm Cu, 4.85% Pb, 1560ppm Zn) geochemistry. There is little probability of a significant, near surface gold deposit occurring in the area. |
