Abstract: | The C2 prospect is associated with weakly gossanous quartz veins exposed along the crest of a low ridge. RAB drilling returned a high of 2.48g-t Au. The C3 prospect's anomalous geochemistry is sourced in quartz veins to 1.6m wide crosscutting a dolerite dyke over a 50m strike. The spacing between veins is in excess of 20m. Assays of vein material returned grades ranging from 2.0 to 9.1g-t Au. An IP survey over the C4 prospect returned no significant responses. RC percussion drilling returned a maximum assay of 1.0m at 5.2g-t Au in hole RNOC-1. In general grades were low and intercepts narrow. The C17 prospect is a magnetic anomaly which drilling indicated was likely to be sourced by pyrrhotite in the dolerite. Work to date suggest prospects C2, C3 and C4 do not provide material of sufficient grade or tonnage to justify further work. |
