Abstract: In 1989 rock chip samples were collected from the Burrell Creek Formation and associated quartz veining. No anomalous gold or base metal values were returned. Quartz vein material only was sampled in 1990. A total of 196 samples were collected. The combined results show that arsenic anomalism is related to the main regional structure or parallels faulting. Gold values generally show no trend. The conclusions drawn from the sampling programme is that there is little probability of a significant economic gold deposit.
