Title: Third annual report Woodleigh year ending 23 October 1990

Abstract: Work this year consisted of a reconnaissance stream sediment programme, retesting drainages which had previously returned anomalous values. The current assays often contradicted the previous results. Follow up rock chip sampling in the NW of the licence delineated a 8Km long NNW trending zone of base metal and minor gold mineralisation in the vicinity of the boundary of the Mount Bonnie Formation and Gerwoie Tuff. Work concentrated on the areas of Pelican prospect and Henry's Hill prospect. At Pelican prospect the work consisted of 1700m of trenching and 465m RC percussion drilling. Costeaning went across strike of a soil anomaly. The best result from costeans were 3m at 8.5g-t. The drill results were generally disappointing. Mineralisation associated with quartz veins (variable length and width) in the Burrell Creek Formation. Mapping, soil and rock chip sampling as well as a ground magnetic survey took place at Henry's Hill. Mineralisation is associated with quartz lens in the Mount Bonnie and Burrell Creek Formations and with sulphidic chert bands. Soil sampling outlined 3 parallel, linear anomalous Au zones each associated with an arsenic anomaly.
Aeromagnetic survey ground clearance 70m line spacing (E-W) 200m Tie lines 2000m.
