Fifth and final report EL 4927 Mount Bundey year ending 16 June 1991

Abstract

The report summarises work to date on the licence area. The first past stream sediment programme located Toms Gully. Subsequent work located a number of gold anomalies and minor occurrences as well as re-locating the Quest 36 base metal anomaly. The sources of the anomalies at Bamboo Creek and Fenceline were not defined. The Quest 36 base metal anomaly is a result of superficial enrichment of the Koolpin Formation through the process of laterisation. The Block X gold stream sediment anomaly appears to be associated with surficial enrichment in the Koolpin Formation (rock chip maximum 0.28g-t Au). A pyritic quartz vein (maximum rock chip 5.2g-t Au) appears to be the source of the anomaly at Henry's prospect. The work to date had markedly reduced the chance of a significant gold occurrence at the surface. There still is some potential for a concealed deposit.
