Abstract: | 159 stream sediment samples and 30 rock chip samples were collected and subsequently analysed for Au, Ag and base metals. 2 weak anomalous gold values of 3.00ppb and4.80ppb Au were returned from sample sites 771824 and 771825 in the NE central portion of the licence. Rock chip samples from the Newmont Vein at the head of these anomalous drainages gave encouraging results. Over the Lunchtime anomaly in the south of the licence sample 771867 returned an anomalous result of 5.8ppb Au. Interpretation of aeromagnetic data has delineated a bulls eye target at the area designated as the Lunctime anomaly. Due to the positive results for this area a soil sampling programme was undertaken with a maximum Au BLEG value of 41.2ppb Au being returned. August 1990 Aerodata flew an area including this licence with flight line spacing of 200m tie lines 2000m and elevation 70m. |
