Abstract: | The report summarises the results of exploration during the life of the licence. A reconnaissance stream sediment programme during year 1 located the Stop 16 prospect. The area was subsequently tested by trenching with a best result of 11.9g-t au over 1.06m. This occurrence was essentially minor. In year 2, detailed rock chip sampling located an area of auriferous quartz reefs (Bandicoot Prospect) NE of the William (ERL077) prospect. Results were highly variable and coarse gold was indicated. In year 3, work concentrated on the Bandicoot Prospect (subject to MCN(A)'s 4084 to 4087 and 4106). Drilling and trenching showed gold grades to be highly erratic. A bulk test returned an average grade of 2.27g-t Au. |
