Abstract: | The airborne EM (input) survey outlined several anomalies. These anomalies fell into 4 broad categories a) conductors exposed in the Burrell Creek Formation, b) conductors along faults, c) conductors in the Tolmer Group and d) conductors in the Cambrian Volcanics and- or Cretaceous. 9 anomalous areas were identified within the licence. T42, T45, and T43 occur within the Stray Creek Sandstone adjacent to the Rock Candy Fault. T43, T44 conductors follow fold trends in Stray Creek Sandstone. T41 cross cutting zone, T47 SE striking contact between the Depot Creek Sandstone and the Lower Proterozoic, T48 sheet basalts and SV7 probable Cambrian basalts. T33, T43 and T45 were followed up by ground MaxMin EM survey. The anomalies were confirmed by ground follow up, however, due to access difficulties and thickness of overburden exploration is complex and expensive. |
