Abstract: The reconnaissance survey with follow up stream sediment sampling defined 5 gold and 4 tin anomalies. Anomaly 2(Au) is believed to be associated with quartz veining in greywacke which is a reef pendant to the Cullen Batholith and is not believed to be a significant deposit. Anomaly 3 (Sn) occurs at the contact between the hornfels and the granite, its source has not been defined. Anomaly 4 (Au) originates at the contact of the Burrell Creek Formation and the Cullen Batholith, follow up rock chip samples failed to substantiate the anomaly. Anomalies 5 and 7 were not supported by rock chip sampling. Quartz veined greywacke-siltstone at the confluence of the Fergusson and Cullen Rivers appears to be the source of Sn-Au Anomaly 6. Tin anomalism Anomaly 9 appears to be derived from a fault zone. Follow up of a nearby aeromagnetic anomaly and copper prospect showed Cu Pb mineralisation within a small shear zone in the granite. Tonnage is considered minimal.
