Abstract: | The majority of the relinquished area is covered by black soil plain which hampers exploration using traditional geochemical methods. The detailed aeromagnetic survey highlighted an anomaly in the south west of the tenement. Ground magnetics indicated that this anomaly is derived from magnetite rich sediment etc. Stream sediment geochemistry highlighted several anomalous drainage systems in the south west of the relinquished area. These streams drain a ridge which occurs just outside the tenement. In general the results from the relinquished area lacked encouragement. |
