Abstract: | 14 backhoe trenches were dug in an area of high level gravels of the Margaret River. Panning of concentrates returned traces of visible gold, the estimated grade being less than 0.1g-m3. RAB programme altered due to cave in problems. Assay results are dubious due to the degree of contamination, with cover material. Isolated elevated gold assays were unsupported by arsenic values. This area is believed to have little potential to host economic gold deposits. |
