Abstract: This report summarises the work undertaken during the first two years of exploration and presents the results of the third (final) year of exploration. The work undertaken during the final year consisted of a detailed stream sediment sampling program to follow up an anomaly delineated in the previous year. A distinct anomaly was outlined with a maximum of 22ppb Au (NT-00636). A soil sampling program (224 samples) were taken over this anomalous area. The results of this survey showed a distinct anomaly which corresponded aerially with the concurrence of the middle member of the Koolpin Formation. 66 rock chip samples were taken over the area-samples primarily hematite, manganese and limonite rich rocks. Some areas were highly quartz veined-these veins were sampled also. No significant mineralisation was found. The ground magnetic survey over this area was relatively flat. The poor results from the rock chip program and the flat response from the ground magnetic survey suggest little likelihood of the area hosting a significant economic deposit despite its favourable geological setting.
