| Abstract: | Centaur Pegmatite, tin-tantalite grades are uniformly low apart from a few areas of contact mineralisation. Mineralisation was confirmed to continue at depth, so there is a significant body of sub-economic mineralisation. The potential exists for a reasonable tonnage of mineralised eluvium associated with it. The Welcome Surprise Pegmatite has low grade cassiterite and relatively high grade tantalite. 1988 drilling showed a resource of 11822t of ore grading 0.024Kg-t SnO2 and 0.071 Kg-t Ta2O5. There are a likely 2000 to 3000t of mineralised eluvium associated with this deposit. |
