Title Holder / Company: Australian Coal and Gold Holdings

Year: 1988
Author: Sale, RV
Abstract: MR-1(EL4497) was selected as the best anomaly to drill as a possible kimberlite area-proved to be magnetite bearing psammites and are barren with respect to gold mineralisation. Thus the prospect has been downgraded as a diamond target though source kimberlitic chromites sampled in 1986 is unknown. EL4497 surrendered 27-09-1988. EL4498 BLEG outlined an area of possible interest in North Moline and weak to moderate values were obtained Coronet Hill. EL4499 ground magnetic survey did not prove useful in defining gold mineralisation as hoped. A reconnaissance BLEG survey is proposed.
