Abstract: | A regional stream sediment sampling programme consisting of 296 samples was completed. This defined 3 anomalous areas. These were: a) Pb-Zn anomaly associated with a recessive shale unit in the Malabah Dolomite, b) a low level Pb (96ppm)-Zn (120ppm) anomaly associated with the contact of the Blue Hole Formation and the Campbell's Springs Dolomite and c) an anomalous gold drainage (6.73ppm) near Swan Creek. Follow up of the base metal anomalies included rock chip sampling and drilling. This work showed the Mallabah shale unit to be uniform in thickness and grade. 2136km Questem survey flown by Aerodata in 1991. |
