| Abstract: | Mapping and sampling programmes have shown an extensive zone of stratabound epithermal silicification and base metal mineralisation within a unit of fossiliferous algal limestone within the Tindall Limestone. This zone varies in thickness from 0.5 to 5m and has a strike extent of 15Km dipping 5 to 10 degrees east. This zone is not gold mineralised but shows extensive Pb-Zn-Ag mineralisation. Massive manganese oxide, with anomalous Ti and W occur only in hanging wall veins. The silicified zone thickness and increases in sulphide content along a gentle anticlinal warp along a NE trending fold axis. The licence is no longer of interest for gold mineralisation but hold potential for base metal mineralisation. |
