Abstract: | Stream sediment and soil sampling produced chromites with poor diamond potential in the southwest of the licence. The chromites are probably xenocrysts from the Mid Proterozoic Yalwana Volcanic Member. XRF analysis located 4 areas of (low) diamond interest. Geochemical gold results located 3 areas of interest. Geochemical lead anomalies of low grade located. Trace element zones trends and single point multi-element anomalies are unduly high and reflect underlying geology. High nickel-cobalt trends in the SW may reflect basic volcanics. The Limmen Sandstone and Mainoru Formation have higher background levels for trace elements. |
