Abstract: | During 1971, a drilling program was conducted in search of manganese. Poor access and boggy terrain were major impediments. The drilling was designed on a grid pattern approximating to 2 mile centres. Depths ranged from 33 feet to 122 feet. 30 holes were drilled to a cumulative depth of 2141 feet. No significant manganese oxides were intersected during the drilling programme. Further drilling is not justified and the potential is downgraded in the area. |
