Title: Final report on exploration AP 1159, Arnhemland
Title Holder / Company: Western Nuclear
Report id: CR1969-0050
Tenure: AP1159
Year: 1969
Author: Haustein, PW
Abstract: AP 1159 of 4,600 square miles was explored by Western Nuclear using airborne magnetic, electro-magnetic and radiometric surveys. Stream sediment samples from all major drainages were assayed for Cu, Pb, Zn, Ag and most for Co and Ni. Some more-closely spaced follow-up geochemistry and geophysics was undertaken at Deaf Adder Canyon. The best soils assays were 29 ppm Cu and 31 ppm Zn associated with basalt. Neither geophysical or geochemical anomalies were enough to justify further exploration.
