Abstract: | The Whistleduck Basic Complex consists of a series of flows, the upper portions of which, at times contain base metal sulphides in small quantities. Some irregularly distributed small concentrations of metallic minerals occur in quartz accumulations on fault lines which cut the sulphide bearing horizons. No other concentrations of features indicating metallic sulphide concentrations have been located in this area. To the north of the Davenport Ranges are argillaceous rocks classified as Warramunga Group. If this is the case, there is potential for Tennant Creek type mineral bodies being present. |
