Title: Partial relinquishment report on EL 5359 (Mathison Creek), 25-03-1988 to 24-03-1993, Willeroo Joint Venture
Title Holder / Company: Poseidon Exploration

Abstract: The licence has been explored for diamonds and to a lesser extent base metal mineralisation. This report details the exploration within the portion of the tenement relinquished on the 25-03-1993. Within the relinquished portion of the tenement 3 barrage and 12 stream samples were collected for heavy mineral analysis. Some chromites recovered but they are of low interest population with the Antrim Plateau Volcanics as their source. A total of 33 geochemical samples were collected for base metal analysis giving maximum values of 110ppm Pb, 80ppm Cu and 660ppm Zn. An airborne magnetic and radiometric survey was flown in 1992 which did not reveal any significant anomalies in the area relinquished. The sampling results were not considered significant, and therefore it was concluded that the area does not have the potential to host a diamondiferous intrusion or economic base metal mineralisation.
