Abstract: A helicopter borne magnetic survey was undertaken to follow up Ashton's CA9 magnetic feature. This confirmed the anomaly which was then tested by loam sampling. The results of loam sampling were negative for diamonds 2 gravel samples were also negative. Analysis of the slimes from the gravel samples for precious-base metals was completed during year 2. Assays were not anomalous. 14 -80# stream sediment samples were collected and again the assays were low.
Helicopter borne magnetic survey consisted of 3 N-S flight lines spaced at 200-300m and approximately 2 to 2.5km long. Sensor height 30m flight speed 30 knots.
