Abstract: | Work within the licence area consisted of an airborne magnetic survey which generated 43 anomalies. These anomalies were all checked in a helicopter supported survey (consisting of 113 lines totalling 173.1Km). 21 of the anomalies could not be attributed to surficial material and were followed up by loam sampling. From sampling 1 non-kimberlitic chromite and 1 microdiamond were recovered. In addition 5 percussion (rotary) holes totalling 202m were completed. The drilling showed that anomalies were not due to kimberlitic diatremes intersecting karstic infill or Cambrian volcanics over Cambrian carbonates. |
