Abstract: An initial literature review outlined some 18 areas warranting investigation. Follow up of these anomalies consisted of rock chip and soil sampling. Several areas continued to provide anomalous responses. Further follow up indicated that many of the anomalous responses were associated with either scavenging of irons by iron-manganese, concentration of zinc in clayey or swampy areas, or due to the size of the anomaly. As a case in question, Area 2 of EL5877 produced a consistent Pb-Zn +--Cu soil anomaly. Follow up indicated that the anomaly was associated with breccia in the Mara Dolomite, over an area of 100 x 10m. The maximum values obtained were 6.74% Cu, 21.0% Pb and 24.6% Zn.
