| Abstract: | The report presents a statistical treatment of all trace element analyses on drill core up to October, 1987 and attempts to characterise the various rock types encountered in drilling. These are grouped also according to a 1g/t Au cutoff. The major ore elements Au,Pt, and Pd are also analysed according to the same groupings. The data presented is only to 0RL, the base of the presently defined open pit. No marked correlations are apparent between any of the elements and the ore/ waste groupings nor were there concentrations of any elements in any particular rock types. The only trace elements with elevated contents are nickel, copper, sulphur, and uranium. Lists are provided of all occurrences of these elements of over 150ppm above the base level of the proposed open pit. |
