Abstract: A block model of uranium grades within a pit design prepared by James Askew and Associates is presented. Blocks 40m square by 20m deep have been assigned grades based on chemical U assays if available, and if not, on calibrated gamma log data. The assignment method was inverse distance squared to a distance of 20m from sample points. The model indicated an average grade of 39ppm U for the 69% of the pit volume to which grades could be assigned on the criteria employed in the study. The memo noted gross discrepancies between their own estimates of contained tonnage and scheduling within the pit, and those provided by JAA.
