Abstract: | Down hole geophysical logging of thirteen 1986 diamond drill holes and one percussion drill hole. All but one hole could be logged, at least in part. The logging detected areas of high radioactivity within zones of gold mineralisation, and that there was a loose correlation of elevated radioactivity with elevated gold intersections. However, not all intervals of high gold are radioactive. The report suggests however that airborne and ground radiometrics could be used for gold exploration. Uranium analyses of drill core (not previously attempted in the current campaign) are recommended. |
