Abstract: Pulps from 133 samples from Coronation Hill drilling were analysed in duplicate at Pilbara Laboratories (renamed Resource Development Laboratories) in Perth. This was to check the precision of the regular assay procedure for Coronation Hill core (50g fire assay with AAS finish). 19 samples had one or both values below the limit of detection, and were not used for statistical analysis. Assay values on the remainder ranged from 0.005ppm Au to 140ppm. Results of the study demonstrated that: 73.6% of samples had a precision of better than 10%, and 90.4% had a precision of better than 20%. The arithmetic mean of the analytical results is 0.5ppm, and all samples but one above this value have precision of <20%. Precision worsens at lower assay values. The results are said to be better than industry average. The report concludes that no changes in procedure are warranted.
