Abstract: | The report describes the 1985 drilling programme, which was conducted in two phases over 5 months. The first phase consisted of: determination of the IP characteristics of existing drill cores cleaning and mapping of the adit, and sampling for Au only 2 angled holes drilled west, each to 150m depth, east of holes DDH6 and DDH8. Holes DDH5, 6, 7, and 8 were deepened to 125m. Scinto 6 quarry was rock chip sampled. The Coronation Hill adit, open pit, and the immediate area of drilling were mapped and sampled for Au only. United Uranium NL drill hole DDHSE1 was logged and sampled. A technical meeting was held on site at the conclusion of Stage I and it was resolved to proceed with Stage II. This comprised: A grid on AMG orientation was pegged at 40m intervals over 1km by 0.75km over the area of interest at Coronation Hill, within granted leases and lease applications. A further six diamond drill holes were drilled, angled at 45degrees to grid west. Surface mapping was extended. A ground magnetometer survey at 10m stations was completed, as was a radiometric survey. Two experimental VLF lies were completed. Down hole logging was completed on the holes drilled to date. Regional work was confined to sampling at Saddle Ridge open cut and Coronation Hill South- West Anomaly. Data on Palette was collected for compilation. Prospecting at Sleisbeck was also completed. The drilling significantly enhanced the potential of the prospect. |
