Abstract: | A combined electromagnetic and magnetic survey was flown over the Point Stuart area to examine the possibilities of uranium detection in rocks. A total of 1580 line kilometres were surveyed. Line spacing was 500 metres between lines 100 and 150, and 1000 metres between lines 150 and 185. The flight heading was east-west. The main aim was to delineate bedrock zones likely to have graphitic source rocks which are often associated with uranium mineralisation in the region., and to directly detect possible uranium mineralisation using the spectrometer system. |
