Title: Partial relinquishment report for the period ending 6 February 2003 for EL 9976, Wonarah
Title Holder / Company: AKD
Report id: CR2003-0183
Tenure: EL9976
Year: 2003
Author: Sas, ZA
Abstract: In this report, exploration summary of the relinquished portions of EL 9976 is presented. The phosphate mineralisation is confined to the Upper Gum Ridge Formation and occurs as chert breccia phosphorite and mudstone phosphorite. They are collectively known as phosphorite horizon and locally contain ore grade intervals (>15% P2O5). 17 RC holes were drilled on the relinquished portion of the EL and samples were anlaysed for P2O5 content, ranging from 6.0 to 13.3%, which were considered too low and too deep for resource estimation. As a result, area covering 122 blocks was relinquished.
