EL 9420 Harts Range, Final report for the period to 06-07-2000

Abstract

This report summarises work during the exploration licence life. The licence was sought to prospect for industrial minerals and base metal deposits. The principal focus for exploration was garnet, in both alluvial and hard rock deposits and the Oonagalabi Cu-Zn-Ag prospect. The group of base metal deposits in the Harts and Strangways Ranges is characterised by three distinctive lithological units. All three major rock types are mineralised with copper, lead and zinc. A viable base metal mining operation with accessory industrial minerals and rare earth elements will be established on the Oonagalabi deposit.
