Abstract: | Test geophysical surveys using the Rapid Reconnaissance magnetic Induced Polarisation technique over copper sulphide mineralisation at Sandy Flat revealed additional anomalies similar to that for the Sandy Flat mineralisation. Follow-up geophysics indicated a number of targets which wre subsequently tested by shallow percussion drilling. No additional copper-bearing breccia pipes similar to Sandy Flat were found. The geophysical anomalies are thought to be due to disseminated sulphides. One of the targets requires further testing. The geophysical data for Sandy Flat and results from one shallow drillhole indicate significant untested potential for additonal mineralisation both near surface and at depth. |
